Lecture by IBM IT Architect

There will be a lecture (video-cast) by Toby Thurston, an Information Architect with IBM on Tuesday 10th October form 16:45 to 18:00 in 1N5.

More infomation is on the flyer.

This should be very relevant to the Multimedia students.

Later:

Actually, my mistake, Toby was an IT Architect, which covers the overall system architecture.

Was there any video/audio captured for this?

Also I think a blog is a fantastic way of communicating the schedule, the course materials, and any feedback/comments from students. It would be great if all modules did this, or if a blog was a core element of UWE Online and the main place to gather all the relevant material for your course. It helps contextualise and bind the materials together rather than the collection of items in Course docs etc. simply stored as a repository.

There are slides and a paper which I will be putting into a page on StudentsOnline. I know that it was intended to put the video from this lecture online, but I dont know if it happened. I'll chase it up.
